Academics & Curriculum

At St. Nicholas William Spyropoulos, we foster an environment where children are inquisitive, enthusiastic, and learn to collaborate meaningfully. From the early grades, we instill a love of learning and encourage independent thinking. Our administrators get to know each child by name, have a working knowledge of the progress each child is making in their studies, and are aware of how each child is maturing socially and emotionally.

At St. Nicholas William Spyropoulos, we follow a rigorous curriculum for all grades. Our state-of-the-art computer room serves grades K-8, with technology integrated into all classes. We offer accelerated math and honors reading in grades 3-5, building a strong foundation for junior high, where students change classes for each subject.

In grades 6-8, our accelerated programs teach math and science one year above grade level. Eighth graders in accelerated math can take the Algebra I NYS Regents, while science students take the Earth and Space Science Regents in seventh grade and the Biology Regents in eighth grade. Our students consistently excel, with some achieving perfect scores on the NYS Comprehensive Examination in Modern Greek. Students in grades 6-8 are recognized for their hard work and character through the Honor Roll, Principal’s List, and Principal’s with Honors List.
